Our take

What a buyer should know

The gentlest boat in the range

The WX 20 is a 6.1 m tri-toon pontoon, and it is the outlier in Vision's line-up in two respects. First, it does not use the company's own E-Motion powertrain: propulsion comes from a single ePropulsion 3.0 outboard, fed by one to three 3 kWh lithium-ion packs. Second, its performance envelope is modest by any measure — a top speed of around 5 mph, with runtime quoted between three and ten hours depending on how many packs are fitted.

Reading the battery options

That 3-to-9 kWh spread is the decision a buyer actually makes. A single pack gives a short afternoon; three give a genuine full day at a stroll. Given the trivial cost of energy at this scale, most owners will regret specifying too little rather than too much. The tri-toon layout means stability and deck space rather than speed, which suits its purpose exactly.

Who it suits

This is a boat for a private lake, a slow river, a wildlife reserve or a no-wake community — somewhere 5 mph is the legal or social limit anyway. It is not a coastal boat and nothing about it pretends to be. Buying a proven third-party outboard is a sensible choice for parts and service availability. No price is published, so ask early; runtime claims should also be confirmed against your intended passenger load.
